MacLellan Pops 3 Out of the Park Against Hurricanes Thursday, March 19th , 2065 It was a good day for the Laval College Rockies and an exceptional one for John MacLellan. The 18-year-old right fielder sent three bombs out of the park to help the Rockies beat the Arlington College Hurricanes 6-5 at Rockies Ballpark. "When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," MacLellan said when asked about his performance later. "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day." For the day, he scored 3 times, drove in 6 runs and smacked 4 hits in 6 at-bats. John MacLellan walked in the 1st, hit a GRAND SLAM off Angel Cholico in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Angel Cholico in the 4th, struck out in the 7th, singled in the 9th, walked in the 11th, flied out in the 14th and hit a solo-shot off Joe Walden in the 16th. Looking at his stats this year, MacLellan has compiled a .288 batting average, while hitting 5 home runs and driving in 16 runs. He has played in 28 games and scored 20 runs. |
