Pollinger Rips Anchorage College for 5 Hits Sunday, April 12th , 2065 5 hits in a game is a rare thing, but El Paso College's Trent Pollinger made it happen today against the Caribous. Everything came together at the plate for the 19-year-old center fielder as he collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats -- and led the Missiles to a 19-1 win at Ballpark of El Paso College. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Pollinger said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em." Trent Pollinger singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and doubled in the 8th. Currently Pollinger is batting .316 with 42 hits and 6 home runs. He has knocked in 23 runs and scored 25 times. View Boxscore |
