Hurricanes Captures Wild Card Thursday, April 23rd , 2065 The Arlington College Hurricanes clubhouse was filled with loud music and revelry late into the night, as the team celebrated a National Conference wild card position. The team, whose record stands at 31-29, battled throughout the year, but ultimately saw the quest for the playoffs come down to the season's final games. "I'd be lying if I said we knew we were going to make it," said starting pitcher Rob Herrera. "We did have confidence, but in the back of your mind you always wonder what's going to happen. There were some good teams pushing us." Now the Hurricanes don't have to worry, as they are in position to potentially win the 3rd College League championship in franchise history. |
