Beals Wins NC Prize, Named Best Hitter in April Friday, May 1st , 2065 Ron Beals has a lot going for him. The Gatineau College left fielder just broke into the majors this year and now the National Conference has just picked him as its top hitter for April. In 21 games last month this outstanding rookie batted .398 with 12 home runs, 31 RBIs and 25 runs scored. Beals has collected 70 hits for the Golden Spikes this year, 23 of them home runs. He has also netted 56 RBIs and scored 55 runs while batting .318. |
