Herrington NC Selection for 2065 Outstanding Hitter Award

Sonny Herrington of the Gatineau College Golden Spikes had a fine season this year and today he accepted the Outstanding Hitter Award for 2065.

The 20-year-old left fielder put up a .342 average and a .449 on-base percentage, piling up 80 hits, 12 doubles, 1 triple, 18 home runs, 51 RBIs and 55 runs scored.

He received 8 first place votes out of a possible 20. Ron Beals of the Gatineau College Golden Spikes finished second in voting with 6 first place votes, while Brian Leivan of the Gatineau College Golden Spikes finished third with 4 first place votes.
