Josh Steffen discovered that today at Ballpark of San Luis Obispo College, as he smashed three home runs during the 15-4 Anchorage College Caribous win over the San Luis Obispo College Monsoon. "I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them," the Anchorage College first baseman said in his postgame interview. "The first was a hanging curve, the second was right down the middle and the last one was a good pitch, but I guessed right and put the wood to it." Steffen, who is tied for 5th in the AC with a .694 slugging percentage, finished the day with 4 hits in 4 at-bats and 5 RBIs. Josh Steffen hit a solo-shot off Bob Holtan in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Tom Parker in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Ray Lawrence in the 6th. This season, Steffen is batting .322 with 34 RBIs, 25 runs scored and 13 home runs. |
