Holland Gets Award for Relief Work
Friday, June 13th , 2053
Chris Holland was a calming influence out of the Anchorage College Caribous bullpen this season.

His teammates and manager said he had a poised demeanor about him that was typical of someone much older and more experienced. His poise has paid off, as the 20-year-old turned in a sparkling season and has been named the winner of the American Conference Reliever of the Year Award for 2053.

The Philadelphia, Pennsylvania native won the award with 4 saves in 12 relief appearances, 72 strikeouts in 37.1 innings and a record of 2-1 to go with his 2.17 ERA.

He received 20 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Matt Pierce of the Corpus Christi College Weasels finished second in voting, while John Restrepo of the Corpus Christi College Weasels finished third.
