Sharks Don Gillespie to Miss Year Wednesday, May 4th , 2044 A blow for Don Gillespie today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 6 months with a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament. Gillespie suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the San Jose HS Sharks are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Gillespie's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. So far this year Gillespie has made 7 starts, tossed 25 innings, struck out 26 batters and walked 21. His record is 0-1 with a 3.96 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .265 batting average. |
