Star of the Week Picked in PL Monday, May 16th , 2044 Jeremy St. Pierre must have thought he was dreaming. First he went on an exceptional week-long batting spree, bashing the ball at a .538 clip, then the Tucson HS shortstop finds out he has been chosen the league's best performer and gets the PL Player of the Week Award. He told BNN reporters in the postgame, "It was a great week for me. I could see the ball so well. Plus some of the balls seemed to have good eyes, too." For the week St. Pierre batted .538 (14-for-26) with 7 home runs and 16 RBIs. For the year St. Pierre is batting .417 with 73 hits and 18 home runs. He has scored 54 times and driven in 63. |
