Roche Named Top Reliever for PL Wednesday, July 6th , 2044 Morgan Roche said he thinks hitters often underestimate him, as he's only 16 years old. But he'll certainly be getting a lot more respect now, as the Lackland AFB HS Bombers rising star has won the Pioneer League Reliever of the Year Award for 2044. He captured the award on the strength of his 0.00 ERA over 17 innings. He also had 8 saves in 16 relief appearances, 25 strikeouts and only 8 walks. He received 40 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Clarence Jordan of the New Orleans HS Locomotives finished second in voting, while Kip Gray of the Markesan HS Gaels finished third.
