Womack Hits in 20 Consecutive Games Friday, May 19th , 2045 The Detroit HS Red Wings fell to the Lackland AFB HS Bombers in Offenders Ballpark today, even as 15-year-old right fielder Joey Womack upped his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games. Womack finished with 1 hit in 4 at-bats, but could not stop the Red Wings from dropping the 18-5 decision. "Yeah, I kept my streak going, but it would have been better to come away with a win," said Womack. Joey Womack singled in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, struck out in the 6th, walked in the 8th and struck out in the 9th. Womack is currently batting .404 with 3 home runs and 31 RBIs. |
