Hitting Streak Still Alive for Womack Wednesday, May 24th , 2045 Joey Womack has been ripping hits every day for a while now, and nobody seems able to stop him. The Detroit HS right fielder picked up 3 more today against the Austin HS Anteaters and now has a 25-game hitting streak. The Red Wings won the game 8-6. "Definitely somebody's going to stop me at some point," he said later, chuckling. "I'll enjoy it for the time being." Joey Womack grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and flied out in the 8th. This season Womack is batting .413 with 85 hits, 3 home runs, 34 RBIs, .487 OBP and has scored 38 runs. |
