Gunther Goes on Rampage Against Locomotives Wednesday, May 9th , 2046 The Tucson HS Pioneers tripped up the New Orleans HS Locomotives 9-2 today. The Pioneers were led by Chris Gunther, their 14-year-old third baseman. Gunther made life miserable for New Orleans HS pitchers all day, tagging them for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. Chris Gunther hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, doubled in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 8th. Thus far this season Gunther has hit .353 with 9 home runs, 39 RBIs and scored 31 times. View Boxscore |
