Crane Sizzles with 20-Game Batting Streak Friday, May 18th , 2046 Ron Crane ran his hitting streak to 20 straight games today at Buzzers Ballpark, when he collected 1 hit in 3 at-bats. The feat came, however, as the Kansas City HS Buzzers dropped the game, 7-5, to the Houston HS Hornets. "Hey, the streak is great -- I hope it never ends," Crane said later. "But I'm not happy to lose the game." Ron Crane walked in the 2nd, struck out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Danny Pérez in the 5th, flied out in the 6th and was hit by a pitch in the 9th. In the current season, Crane has put up a .347 batting average with 61 hits, 6 home runs, 36 RBI and scored 32 runs. |
