32-Game Hitting Streak for Lyon Thursday, April 18th , 2047 With 1 hit at Gaels Stadium today, Bob Lyon added another game to his hitting streak -- the San Francisco HS shortstop has now hit safely for 32 games in a row. But the hitting feat wasn't enough for the Sea Lions today, as they fell, 8-7, to the Markesan HS Gaels. "Frankly, I don't care about hits," Markesan HS manager said later. "I'll let him get 5 hits in 5 at-bats if it means we get a win." Bob Lyon flied out in the 1st, doubled in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. For the season Lyon is batting .479 with 35 hits and 10 home runs. He has scored 27 times and batted in 34. |
