Flitney Stretches Hit String to 20 Monday, April 29th , 2047 With 1 hit at Ballpark of Markham HS today, Greg Flitney added another game to his hitting streak -- the Markham HS right fielder has now hit safely for 20 games in a row. But the hitting feat wasn't enough for the Coyotes today, as they fell, 14-5, to the Houston HS Hornets. "Frankly, I don't care about hits," Houston HS manager said later. "I'll let him get 2 hits in 2 at-bats if it means we get a win." Greg Flitney flied out in the 1st, singled in the 4th, walked in the 6th, walked in the 8th and walked in the 9th. Thus far this season Flitney is hitting .482 with 4 home runs, 36 RBIs and 35 runs scored. He has 55 hits in 114 at-bats and has played in 25 games. |
