Robinson Belts Bunch of Base Hits Monday, May 6th , 2047 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-6 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Cedric Robinson, it came around today. The 15-year-old first baseman scattered hits all over Wranglers Park to pace the Houston HS Hornets to a 13-7 victory over the Reno HS Wranglers. Reno HS skipper told reporters in the press room that "Robinson deserves a hat-tip." "He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Robinson hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit." Cedric Robinson hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Tim Duncan in the 7th and flied out in the 9th. Thus far this year Robinson is batting .336 with 7 home runs, 32 RBIs and 26 runs scored. View Boxscore |
