Gray Sox End Flitney's Streak Monday, May 20th , 2047 Markham HS Coyotes right fielder Greg Flitney and his hot bat finally met their match today at Ballpark of Markham HS. The Loving HS Gray Sox snapped his 39-game hitting string, holding Flitney hitless in 3 at-bats and also whipping Markham HS for good measure. "We're real pleased with this one," Gray Sox manager said. "Nobody wants to be on the wrong end of a streak like that, and clobbering Markham HS makes it even sweeter." This year Flitney has collected a .457 batting average to date with 90 hits in 197 at-bats, 54 RBIs, 8 home runs and scored 59 times. He has played in 45 games. |
