Guerrero's Hit Streak Soars to 39 Games Friday, April 9th , 2049 With 2 hits at Locomotives Stadium today, Silvino Guerrero added another game to his hitting streak -- the New Orleans HS left fielder has now hit safely for 39 games in a row. But the hitting feat wasn't enough for the Locomotives today, as they fell, 6-0, to the Detroit HS Red Wings. "Frankly, I don't care about hits," Detroit HS manager said later. "I'll let him get 3 hits in 3 at-bats if it means we get a win." Silvino Guerrero struck out in the 2nd, singled in the 5th and singled in the 8th. Thus far this season Guerrero has hit .463 with no home runs, 6 RBIs and scored 9 times. |
