Flitney's Hit Streak Soars to 37 Games Thursday, April 22nd , 2049 Greg Flitney's consecutive-game hitting streak has now climbed to 37 games. The Markham HS right fielder smacked 1 hit against the Houston HS Hornets in today's game at Ballpark of Markham HS, but he expressed mixed emotions about the streak after watching the Coyotes drop the game, 9-4. "I feel good about the streak, but don't feel good when we lose," he told reporters. "I'd love to get a hit as well as a win next time so I can celebrate properly." Greg Flitney grounded out in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, struck out in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Looking at his present stats, Flitney has compiled a .375 batting average in 18 games with a .462 on-base percentage, while hitting 4 home runs and driving in 10 runs. |
