But in the present, he said, the club is quite disappointed with the realization today that they are now mathematically out of playoff contention for the 2049 season. This is the club's 6th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2043. In the last 10 seasons, the Red Wings have missed the playoffs 7 times.
