He easily handled Anteaters pitching, going 5 for 6 and helping the Spartans to a 14-9 triumph at Austin HS Fields. "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of Ackerman's quip, Anteaters skipper said he "would take him up on that next time." Tim Ackerman singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th.
