Playoffs Won't Happen for Fire Ants Friday, May 6th , 2050 The Phoenix HS Fire Ants have missed out on securing a berth in the High School League playoffs. It's a "tough way to close out the season," according to right fielder Marc Cooper. Phoenix HS last appeared in the postseason in 2043. This is their 7th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 21 times in their 22-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Fire Ants have missed the playoffs 9 times. |
