Coyotes Win Tight Republic League Eastern Division Race Friday, May 6th , 2050 Let loose, Markham HS fans, your team has won the Republic League Eastern Division. The Markham HS Coyotes have officially captured the crown, the 9th in franchise history. "We've got a team that can do it all and we think do it just as well as anyone in the league," said left fielder Rudy Tolbert. "I hope no one is taking us lightly once the playoffs start." Certainly the team's division crown will garner them a fair bit of respect, as the 21-9 record puts the club in position for the franchise's 1st High School League championship. "You never get tired of being in the playoffs," said the team's manager. "This is what you play for." |
