Jones Gets 2-Game Suspension
Monday, April 3rd , 2051
Gene Jones was incensed today after he was suspended by the commissioner's office for 2 games following a wild argument at the Nashville HS-Buffalo HS game. The league cited the Predators third baseman for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct," in the notification letter. Jones strongly objected to a questionable call by the home plate umpire and was ejected.
"Ejection? Maybe. But not suspension. It's ludicrous is what it is. It's totally uncalled for. I have no idea why. You have to ask the people in the league office that wear the coats and ties and don't get on the field. I didn't cause the altercation, the umpire did. It was a lousy call."
