Week's Top Performer Honored by PL Monday, April 17th , 2051 Rod Brown is respected by most Tucson HS Pioneers fans for his no-frills style of play. The 17-year-old third baseman went about his business with vigor last week to grab the Pioneer League Player of the Week honors. He compiled a .500 average (11-for-22) with 3 home runs, 9 RBIs and 9 runs scored. This year Brown is hitting .443 with 3 home runs and 13 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .547 clip and scored 19 runs. |
