Drillers Come up Short of Playoffs Thursday, May 4th , 2051 The Kirbyville HS Drillers may feel they were as good as the playoff teams this year, but the club has ultimately fallen short of qualifying and will watch the postseason from the sidelines. "It's frustrating because we really feel like we could have given any of the teams a run for their money," said starting pitcher Gabe Brown. Before this season, the Drillers last missed the playoffs in 2048. In the 34 years they have been a High School League franchise, they have missed the playoffs 30 times. In the last 10 years, they have missed the playoffs 8 times. |
