Akron HS Narrowly Wins Pioneer League Eastern Division Saturday, May 6th , 2051 The Akron HS Cobras feel they will be riding a wave of momentum after clinching the Pioneer League Eastern Division title in the final game of the season. "We showed our true character to get this done so late in the season," said closer Danny Lizarraga. "It's certainly a relief - better late than never." The club's 19-11 record is what has led to the 2nd division title in team history. Team owner The owner of the Akron HS Cobras had an ear-to-ear grin when the clinch became official. "That's a weight off my shoulders, that's for sure," he said. "It's time to bring the 1st High School Cup championship to Akron HS." |
