Smith Cracks 5 Hits Sunday, May 14th , 2056 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-6 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Chris Smith, it came around today. The 21-year-old left fielder scattered hits all over Ballpark of Tennessee to pace the Tennessee Rascals to a 7-6 victory over the Massachusetts Possums. Massachusetts skipper told reporters in the press room that "Smith deserves a hat-tip." "He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Smith hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit." Chris Smith singled in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Oscar Jones in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th, struck out in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off Tim White in the 11th.
