UBLE #1 Pitcher in May is Tennessee's González Thursday, June 1st , 2056 In May when Tennessee Rascals reliever José González was beckoned in from the bullpen, it spelled "Relief" with a capital "R." He usually put a very quick end to any budding rallies. For his sensational mound work he was voted the East Pitcher of the Month. The Tennessee reliever had no saves for the month with a 4-0 record and 1.86 ERA. He made 10 relief appearances, hurled 19.1 innings, yielded 12 hits, fanned 26 and walked 12. To date he has nailed down 0 saves for his club. In 13 relief appearances, González has 33 strikeouts in 26.1 innings with a 1.71 ERA and a 4-0 mark. |
