Elmore Guns Down Cockatoos Sunday, June 18th , 2056 Darren Elmore subdued the Michigan Cockatoos, 5-0, pitching a 3-hit gem for the Missouri Mules at Michigan Grounds. "He was kind of teasing them with his off-speed stuff, and his fastball was moving everywhere," Missouri skipper said afterward. Elmore registered 5 strikeouts and issued no walks in his superb performance. "We just didn't swing the bats very well. Or else he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," said Michigan manager after the defeat. His record this year is 2-3 in 3 starts and Elmore has a 2.85 ERA.
