Víctor García Lost for Season Tuesday, July 15th , 2059 The doctors have spoken and Víctor García of the Michigan Cockatoos didn't like what he heard. The 30-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. García sustained his season-ending injury during the Tennessee Rascals game yesterday at Michigan Grounds. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Michigan medical staff reported García had a torn back muscle and would be absent from the lineup for at least 6 months. This season in 9 starts Víctor García has a record of 0-2 with 38 strikeouts in 50.1 innings and a 3.93 ERA. |
