Piranhas Júlio Mendo Down and Out for Year Saturday, July 19th , 2059 A blow for Júlio Mendo today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 5 months with a torn labrum. Mendo suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the Nevada Piranhas are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Mendo's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. On his stats sheet for the year Mendo shows a 3-1 record, 7 starts, 43.2 innings, 33 strikeouts and a 2.89 ERA. |
