Zamora Sizzles in No-Hitter
Saturday, July 26th , 2059
In a dominant outing, Alex Zamora of the Utah Rhinos totally silenced the bats of the Nevada Piranhas, finishing with a no-hitter.
In the Rhinos' 1-0 victory, Zamora faced only 28 batters, surrendered no hits, had 9 strikeouts and 4 walks.
"Honestly, I didn't even know the situation was what it was until the seventh inning," Utah manager said. "I happened to look up there to see how many hits we had gotten, and I happened to notice that they hadn't gotten any."
Commenting on the defeat, losing manager had a "pretty simple" analysis of the game.
"The Rhinos had all the hits and all the runs, so they won," he snapped. "But yeah, Zamora pitched a heck of a ballgame."
In 6 starts this season Zamora has chalked up a 3-1 record and a 4.24 ERA.
