West Selects July's Best Batter Sunday, August 1st , 2060 The #1 hitter in the West in July was Missouri first baseman Bret Contreras. He was selected the Batter of the Month. Contreras starred with a .256 batting average, 11 home runs and 19 RBIs. This year Contreras has hit 25 home runs and posted a .224 batting average. |
