Bob DeLuca Hurt, Out for Year Monday, June 29th , 2065 The doctors have spoken and Bob DeLuca of the Massachusetts Possums didn't like what he heard. The 27-year-old first baseman is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. DeLuca sustained his season-ending injury during the Tennessee Rascals game yesterday at Ballpark of Tennessee. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while colliding with a player at a base. Today the Massachusetts medical staff reported DeLuca had a torn labrum and would be absent from the lineup for at least 9 months. In 20 games DeLuca is hitting .179 this season with 10 hits, 3 home runs, 7 RBIs, 6 walks, .281 OBP and has scored 6 runs. |
