Marcel's Hit Streak Soars to 20 Games Thursday, July 16th , 2065 Driss Marcel's hitting streak is becoming the talk of Utah. The 32-year-old right fielder extended it once again today, this time bringing it to 20 games with a 4-for-6 performance against the Arkansas Aardvarks. The Rhinos took the game, 12-7. "People are starting to bring it up to me when I'm around town," he said. "It's getting stressful." Driss Marcel doubled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. Looking at his stats this year, Marcel has compiled a .298 batting average, while hitting 7 home runs and driving in 34 runs. He has played in 84 games and scored 51 runs. |
