Marcel Hitless, Streak Ends at 24 Wednesday, July 22nd , 2065 Utah Rhinos right fielder Driss Marcel finally met his Waterloo. A 24-game hitting spree is now history after Marcel was unable to make anything happen in 3 at-bats today against the Kansas Monarchs. Fortunately for Marcel and the Rhinos, the rest of his team had enough in their bats to win the game 3-2. "We're a true team here," he said. "For 24 games I've been able to contribute, but I always believed these guys would take care of things if I couldn't some day." So far this year Marcel is batting .306 with 8 home runs, 41 RBIs and 57 runs scored. |
