Espinoza Wins Newcomer of the Month Saturday, August 1st , 2065 From Podunk to Paradise sounds like the story of Toby Espinoza of the Iowa Porkers. It has been a sudden rise to fame for this first-year hurler. As of today, he is the West Rookie of the Month. Espinoza was certainly on top of his game in July. He started 5 games and threw 34 innings, striking out 29 and walking 9. In all, he compiled a 3-1 record with a sparkling 2.91 ERA, holding the opposition to a .143 batting average.
