Admirals Win Wildcard Series Sunday, August 30th , 2065 The United Baseball Cup hopes remain strong for the Louisiana Admirals. The team tonight eliminated the Nebraska Terriers with a 3-1 win, to capture the Wildcard Series 4-1. "We're rolling now," said Marc Gehring, who was named series MVP. "The pitchers are pitching, hitters are hitting, look out. I expect us to pick our game up to another level in the League Championship Series." The standout offensive performance from Gehring included a .400 batting average, .500 on-base percentage, 1 home runs, 4 RBI and 6 runs scored.
