For his standout performances in August he has been named the league's best pitcher. During the month, Espinoza excelled with a 1.23 ERA and 3 wins and no losses. In 29.1 innings he struck out 36 and gave up 21 hits and 8 walks. To date this season Espinoza sports a 9-2 mark with a 2.53 ERA in 13 starting assignments.
