Ayala Scoops up UBLW Top Hurler Award Wednesday, September 30th , 2065 Luis Ayala joined an elite group of pitchers today by picking up the West Pitcher of the Year Award for 2065. The 31-year-old hurler finished the year 11-7 for the Oklahoma Flames, piling up 173.2 innings, registering 156 strikeouts and walking 40 on his way to a solid 2.38 ERA. He received 20 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Lu Ching of the Utah Rhinos finished second in voting, while Ben Patrick of the Louisiana Admirals finished third.
