Rowdy Players Suspended by League
Monday, June 17th , 2069
After an intense confrontation, both the Monarchs Alan Hill and the Admirals Ben Patrick were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Kansas-Louisiana game. Alan Hill will miss 5 games, while Ben Patrick was suspended for 3 games.
"Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Alan Hill commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play."
In his season totals, Hill has 10 home runs, .233 BA, .327 OBP, 36 RBIs and 26 runs scored. He has played in 58 games.
Patrick has taken the mound for 16 relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 6-2 record with a 2.62 ERA. The Louisiana reliever has limited opposing batters to a .251 batting average.
