Montreal HS Wins High School Wildcard Series
The High School Wildcard Series didn't live up to the billing from those who thought it would be an all-out battle to the last game.

But the Montreal HS Loggers are no doubt pleased by the results, as they have knocked out the Akron HS Cobras 3-1 to advance to the High School LCS.

"It doesn't matter how you win it, as long as you win it and get yourself moving forward," said Loggers left fielder Henry Ding. "I know a lot of people thought this was going to be a really tight series the whole way through, but we're glad it didn't go right down to the wire."

Montreal HS won the final game by a score of 6-1 at Montreal HS Grounds.

Ding was named series MVP after hitting .444 with a .474 on-base percentage. He also had 2 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 5 runs.

The Montreal HS Loggers will play against the Modesto HS Navigators in the next round. Modesto HS won their series against the Manhattan HS Monarchs 3 games to 0. The High School LCS schedule will be announced after the High School Wildcard Series finishes.
