Lynx Advance to Confederation Cup
|
The Ottawa Lynx "bent but didn't break" against the Erie Brigs in the League Championship Series.
That's according to Ray Collins of Ottawa, who was named series MVP.
"Our guys faced adversity and overcame it. This series wasn't easy, but we stuck to our game and made it work," he said.
Ottawa won the final game by a 3-0 count and the series 4-1.
Collins's MVP performance included hitting .421 with a .500 on-base percentage. He also had 3 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 5 runs.
The Ottawa Lynx don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Caseyville Fighter Pilots - Carlsbad Bad Apples series. Caseyville leads the series 3 games to 1. The Confederation Cup schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.
