Mike Tibor was unstoppable, but the Akron HS Cobras were not.

Despite his hitting heroics at Spartans Ballpark today, the Cobras lost 8-7 to the Gordon HS Spartans. Tibor battered Gordon HS for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His only consolation will be a boost in his batting average and a brief mention in the record book.

Tibor just shook his head after the game, telling BNN reporters, "It's the team with the most runs that wins, not the most hits."

Mike Tibor singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Brian Medina in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Justin Cumming in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
