Pennsylvania's Pelan Reaches 3000 Hits Friday, August 16th , 2052 Pennsylvania's Bubba Pelan entered the record books today as he collected hit number 3000 at PNC Park. "I am proud of this. Not too many players reach this level. You have to be around quite a few years and you have to get a lot of hits," Pelan said after the game. On his milestone day he went 1 for 3 as the Railroaders won 4-2 over the Maryland Bridegrooms. Lifetime Pelan is batting .319 and has totaled 173 home runs.
