Great Week for Wilmington's Markus Deacon Monday, August 4th , 2053 So far in his young career, Markus Deacon has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the East in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 21-year-old Wilmington Eagles shortstop hit at a torrid .536 clip as he collected 15 hits in 28 at-bats, 1 home run, 6 RBIs and 9 runs scored. This year Deacon has hit at a .312 pace and produced 54 RBIs, 12 home runs and scored 57 runs. |
