Elliott Red-Hot, ELW Player of the Week Monday, September 6th , 2055 24-year-old Bob Elliott made a few Eugene headlines during this past week as the rookie left fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and West officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 11 hits in 26 at-bats to put up a .423 average. Elliott collected 4 home runs, 11 RBIs and scored 7 runs. Elliott's current batting average stands at .327 and he has chalked up 9 home runs and 50 RBIs. |
