Rodríguez Hits 3 Homers Against Toronto

Fans are still buzzing after St. Louis whipped the Toronto Blue Jays by the score of 21-8 today at Sportsman Park.
Tony Rodríguez smashed three home runs in the contest, a feat that would be a career highlight for most players and few fans ever see. In a tremendous performance, the catcher bashed out 4 hits in 5 at-bats, had 8 RBIs and scored 4 times.
At the postgame press conference, Rodríguez said it was an "unbelievable" feeling to hit three home runs in a game.
"Getting one homer is special, and two is great," Rodríguez said. "Three is just... wow."
Tony Rodríguez hit a two-run home run off José Ordóñez in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Chip Jordan in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, walked in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Mike Hall in the 8th.
Looking at his season stats, Rodríguez has compiled a .294 batting average and a .370 on-base percentage, while hitting 15 home runs and driving in 47 runs.
